Earning 5-Star Reviews
Proven strategies for exceeding client expectations.
Why Reviews Are Critical
On Humalink, your average rating determines your ranking in the search results. Partners with higher ratings (4.5 and above) receive up to 5x more booking requests than those with lower ratings or no ratings. Your first few reviews are especially important.
Before the Meeting
A 5-star experience starts before you even meet the client.
- Acknowledge Bookings Quickly: When a request comes in, accept or decline it promptly. If you accept, send a short message saying you're looking forward to the meeting.
- Confirm the Details: A day before the meeting, send a quick message to confirm the time and location. "Hi [Name], just confirming we are still on for 2 PM tomorrow at the Central Cafe!"
- Be Punctual: This cannot be overstated. Arrive at least 5 minutes early. If you are running even slightly late due to unavoidable circumstances, message the client immediately.
During the Meeting
This is where your interpersonal skills shine.
- Active Listening: Pay attention to what the client is saying. Put your phone away (unless needed for an emergency). Maintain eye contact.
- Adapt to Their Energy: Some clients want to talk; others want a quiet companion. Read the room and adjust your energy level accordingly.
- Respect Boundaries: Always keep the interaction professional and within the bounds of our Safety Guidelines.
After the Meeting
How you end the session leaves a lasting impression.
- End on a High Note: Thank them for their time. "I really enjoyed our conversation today, thank you!"
- Follow Up: Send a brief message through the platform after you leave. "Thanks again for a great afternoon. Have a wonderful week!"
- Don't Be Afraid to Ask: It is perfectly fine to politely ask for a review. "If you enjoyed our session, I would really appreciate it if you could leave a quick review on my profile. It helps me out a lot!"
Handling Difficult Situations
If a session did not go well due to a mismatch in expectations, remain polite and professional. If a client violates the safety guidelines or makes you uncomfortable, leave the situation immediately, trigger the SOS if necessary, and report them. Your safety is more important than a review.
